Engineering
A complete range of Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves complemented by our range of Floating Ball Valves, Bellows Sealed Globe Valves, Knife Gate Valves,
and Forged Gate, Globe and Check Valves have been designed and developed at Microfinish’s research and development center.
We have well qualified engineers who have more than 40 years of experience in the design of industrial valves. The department is equipped with the latest AutoCAD design software for 2-D drafting and 3-D modeling. Structural calculations, finite element analysis (FEA), dynamic analysis and product validation are also done with advanced software when appropriate.
Standard features of our Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves include the double block and bleed function, cavity self-relief, trunnion supported ball, and double sealing at body joints. They are available with both soft and metal seats and are available with designs for either high temperature or cryogenic service.
Floating Ball Valves are normally seat supported and the seats are not self-relieving. Special designs are available for self-relieving seats. They are available with both soft and metal seats, jacketed body designs, 3-Way designs and are available with designs for either high temperature or cryogenic service.
Special valves are developed to suit customer requirements which include but are not limited to:
-
High operating frequency ball valves for gasoline stations
-
Low fugitive emissions
-
High temperature conditions up to 650 °C (1202 °F)
-
Y-Type Bellows Sealed Globe Valves for sodium service up to 560 °C (1040 °F)
-
Globe Valves for chlorine service to Eurochlor standards.
Valve designs are routinely updated to the latest international standards.
Our well stocked library includes Microfinish product standards and other technical reference books.
